What's Normal???

Okay, So I love my neighbors and all, but is it normal that their houses would always be spotless, even the ones with kids?? I'd convinced myself that because I'm not so anal about everything and a little more laid back about my house that I have much more fun than they, but I'm not so sure anymore. They all have housekeepers and their children are prissy little girls. They're often out in their perfectly mowed lawns, wearing their perfectly ironed clothes with their perfectly dressed children playing beside them, when my son opens the door and runs out in the yard in his diaper after he's eaten and has pizza all over him. I have to run out to catch him in my pajama pants with no make-up and a ponytail half in place. I stand and talk to them like normal the whole time hoping the dog didn't make it out the door after me and isn't pooping in their yard.
Seriously, I love our neighbors. They are all so nice and I don't think they're secretly judging me because of my carefree spirit (is that what it's called??) :) but I am beginning to wonder what's normal for the average family? Maybe if I spent a little less time blogging, I could be a little more together, so I'm gonna go now... ~laugh!!~

**********NOW INTRODUCING**********

*****BELLA*****

The newest member of our family!!!!

I was going to send out announcements, but... :)

On Monday I took Sophie to get groomed at PetSmart and afterwards ran into their clinic to get Sophie some frontline and the lady behind the counter said, "we have her twin in the back, her name is Bella". She then proceeded to tell me the unfortunate story of Bella's previous owners not being able to take care of her ear infections and bringing her by the clinic to be put down. The Veterinarian decided not to put her down, but to treat her ears and get her better so she could be taken to the animal shelter as a healthy doggie. I told Kelly about Bella and he was like, "tell the lady we'll take her". I wasn't as gung ho. You know, double the frontline, double the dog poop...

On Tuesday, however, I was cleaning the house thinking of Bella and the fact that two dogs was the last thing we needed, when something quickened inside me. "Lianne if you try to be logical about everything, you might just miss out on a blessing", something inside me said. I knew from that moment on that Bella was supposed to be ours. The Lord had changed my heart really in an instant. From that point on I really wanted Bella.

We brought her home Wednesday night to try her out with Sophie and Christian and she was truly the PERFECT dog. No barking, no jumping and sweet, sweet, sweet!!! We are in LOVE!! Sophie is being only a little territorial, but overall it's been great. I called today to tell the Vet we would take her. So...she is our new addition and I am so excited!!!

Please pray for her though, because her ear infections are chronic and she has to be on a special diet for the rest of her life. I have to make a vegetable crock-pot recipe for her, which I actually like doing, but her ears need to get better. She's on 3 medications which should help clear things up within the next couple of months. Please join with us in prayer for a miraculous healing. And thank you for welcoming our 4 year old daughter. No gifts are expected, a congratulations will do ~laugh~

(Bella's the one Kelly's holding in the picture, if you're wondering. She's a little bigger. Sophie's 37 pounds. Bella's 54)
